I conducted in-house quality control testing on over 500 shoulder pads to ensure products meet company and NOCSAE safety standards. I also conducted developmental testing on lacrosse handles, heads, gloves, and helmets.
While at STX, I gained experience using SolidWorks. I was tasked with designing an adapter for a testing apparatus that would reduce the time necessary to switch between different testing procedures.
I also gained experience using Ansys Mechanical for finite element analysis. This process required me to follow an STX procedure to determine certain performance charateristics of future lacrosse heads.
Several times, I was tasked with creating engineering drawings of lacrosse heads that would be used track the design process of future lacrosse heads and allowed for an easy understanding of dimensions and tolerances.
As an intern at STX, I became a team member of the R&D department. This meant that I was able to assist in daily operations and help solve issues that would arise.
